Shooting Range
The Gold River Rod and Gun range will re-open for regular day use as of June 1st, 2020. In doing this we need our members to be aware of a few things to adhere too while using the range in this time of COVID:
1) the range is first come first serve, meaning self distancing needs to be maintained while in the shooting hut or come back later if there is someone using the range, (2m/6ft between users, unless shooters are from the same household).
2) All high touch areas are NOT Cleaned, it is the responsibility of the individual users to cleanse hands and objects once you have touched these surfaces (ie. gate lock and gate, shooting benches, flag handles).
3) NO gatherings of people who do not live in the same household as set out by the Provincial Health Minister.
4) All members and their guests are required to sign in when using the range. You can find the yellow sign-in book
located in the centre of the shooting hut.
It has not been an easy decision to have the range closed at this time or when to re-open, however the 2020 executive needs to make responsible decisions, as we play a part in the health and well being of our members and community. We ask our members to be patient with us as we try to navigate these times. If anyone has concerns or issues with our decisions, we ask that you bring your concerns to the attention of one of the 2020 executive.
Take Care
